Search either by location (using GPS coordinates) or by an address. You'll know where the cheapest gas prices are whether you're there now, or later.
The price list gives you a quick glance at all of the different stations in your area that meet your search criteria.
It shows everything from the station logo and name, to the price of all of the fuel grades we have information for, to the distance from your current location.
From this screen you'll be either able to see a map of where you are and where the station is or you can get driving directions directly to the station.
Clicking the menu button gives you options for either starting a new search (takes you back to the home screen), or going to the settings menu.
Going to the settings menu allows you to change the search criteria you use when running all searches.
The settings screen allows you to change a number of different variables for searching the GasBot database.
The fuel type allows you to select the grade of fuel, maximum search radius, how you sort your results, the number of stations that gets returned
in the result set, and allows you to set a brand preference (in case you have a fuel savings card with a specific brand).
We'll remember these settings and apply them to all future searches done by you.
The map view spans out to show both where you are, and where the station you tapped on is.
Clicking the menu button will show you options for switching between map and satellite view.
Clicking on the gas pump icon (which represents the gas station) will show you some extra information.
This includes the name of the station, when the price was reported, and what the prices for all of the grades of gasoline.
Clicking on the directions link in the results view gives you driving directions from your current location to the gas station using Google Maps.
Google Maps will give you turn by turn directions and will show you where you are along the route currently.
If you tapped the search by address button on the home screen, you'll be taken to the address list.
You can search one of your stored addresses by tapping on it, and then tapping search.
Or you can add a new address by tapping on the "new address" button.
When you add a new address, you can give it a nick name (will show up on the address list screen) and either enter in the full address, city and state.
Or for your convenience you can also enter in just a city and state, just a state, or just a zip code.
We try to open up as many options to you as possible.
